Why Use Alka-Pure Go-Paks?

Most people today don’t consume a diet high in nutrient-dense, mineral-rich food. Instead, they reach for pre-packaged meals, fast food, artificially colored/flavored/sweetened beverages and many other unhealthy choices.

Those who regularly consume this “Western diet” most likely have some degree of chronic low-grademetabolic acidosis. Over time, this can lead to the development of chronic degenerative diseases.

Metabolic acidosis happens when the chemical balance of acids and bases in your blood gets thrown off. Your body:

  • Is making too much acid
  • Isn’t getting rid of enough acid
  • Doesn’t have enough base to offset a normal amount of acid

When any of these happen, chemical reactions and processes in your body don’t work correctly. How can you turn an unhealthy acidic environment into a healthier alkaline environment? By making better choices about what you eat and drink.

How Much Does 1 Go-Pak Make?

For Water: Add one Alka-Pure Go-Pak to 16.9 to 22 fl.oz. (.5 to .75 Liters) to make 9.5+ alkaline-rich water.

Adding Alka-Pure Go-Paks (Alka-Pure® concentrate) to beverages other than water will vary in alkaline pH, depending on the acidity level of the original beverage.

Suggested Amount for Coffee or Tea: Add half a GoPak to one 8 fl.oz. cup (or an entire Go-Pak, to taste)

You can make even the most acidic beverages more alkaline, plus adding essential electrolyte minerals to create an instantly healthier drink.

How Do I Use Go-Paks?

It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3:
1. Twist off the tip of the tube
2. Squeeze the concentrate into 16.9 to 22 oz. of your choice of water or other beverage
3. Mix to blend, then drink to detoxify and hydrate

IMPORTANT: The concentrate in Alka-Pure Go-Paks, should be used as directed, never swallowed directly from the tube. The solution is formulated to a high pH to account for dilution in 16.9 to 22 ounces (.5 to .75 litres) of water or other beverages.

Why is Go-Pak Colorless / Tasteless?

Our concentrate is designed to blend with all beverages without adding flavor so you can enjoy the original taste of your water, coffee, tea or other drink. You will likely discover that your beverage actually tastes smoother and the flavor is enhanced when the acidity is reduced and our minerals are added.

Can I Make Coffee or Tea with Go-Paks Added to the Water?

Absolutely! You can brew coffee or tea by the pot by adding Go-Paks to the water or add the concentrate to a cup of prepared beverage (suggested use is half a Alka-Pure Go-Pak per 8 fl. oz. cup – or more if it is extra acidic).

Coffee and tea are highly acidic beverages that Alka-Pure® concentrate dramatically improves. By lowering the acid, your beverage will feel and taste smoother and more delicious than ever. You will find that you actually taste the flavor of the coffee or tea – instead of the acid – and may even begin to like it “black”. This is a much healthier choice than adding sugar and artificial creamers (sugars, creamers and milk are acidic).

Is the Go-Pak Tube BPA and EA Free?

Yes! The material we use for our ampoules (the Go-Pak tube) is pharmaceutical-grade and both BPA (bisphenol A) and EA (Estrogen Activity) free.

In general, it is best to avoid products packaged in plastic containing BPA because of its endocrine-disrupting properties and links to many health problems that include breast cancer, intestinal inflammation and obesity. For increased consumer safety, our Go-Pak packaging is not only BPA free, but also EA free (does not contain chemicals that behave like estrogen in the body).

We use a LLDPE (Linear Low-Density Polyethylene) resin for product safety and packaging strength.

Do Go-Paks Help When Working Out, Playing Sports or Doing Physical Labor?

Yes! You lose electrolytes when you sweat. To replace them, you must drink fluids that contain electrolytes. Pure water does not contain electrolytes.

The Alka-Pure concentrate in Go-Paks add essential electrolyte minerals to water and is especially good for people whose activities or work are physical in nature – for example athletes and those with outdoor occupations. Physical stress expands the need for hydration. Also, if you live in a location with a high altitude, you may need more hydration.

For fluid intake before and during physical activity, you can follow the general sports medicine guidelines which recommend that people drink about 16-20 ounces of fluid approximately two hours before exercise. During exercise, they recommend to start drinking fluids early and drink them at regular intervals to replace fluids lost by sweating.

Do Go-Paks Help With Jet Lag?

Yes! Dehydration may occur when traveling, particularly by plane. Because Go-Paks® containing Alka-Pure® concentrate are portable and convenient, they are an ideal way to hydrate while flying to help prevent the affects of jet lag, often caused by dehydration. Just add to bottled or other water, as available.

Who Should NOT Drink Alkaline Water?

Although switching to a more alkaline diet will benefit most everyone, there is a small percentage of the population whose bodies are actually too alkaline. The few individuals who have this condition usually suffer from calcium deposits.
While we would love for everyone to feel the benefits of Alka-Pure at every age and stage of life, we know that Alka-Pure can have a powerful effect on your health.

Can Children Drink Water or Beverages with Alka-Pure Go-Paks?

We recommend that children under 3 should not drink anything except purified water that has chlorine, fluoride and other contaminants removed. We also believe that it is not beneficial to give children of any age: artificially flavored/colored waters, soda, non-organic milk(s) or most fruit juice (highly acidic and full of sugars). Purified water is your best choice.

Children between the ages of 4 and 12 years should start with one 8 to 10 fl. oz. cup of water with half a Go-Pak® added upon rising. They may also have one 16.9 to 22 fl.oz. (.5 to .75 litres) serving of water with a Go-Pak® added between meals daily, but ask your physician about this.

How Many Go-Paks Should I Use Per Day?

We recommend using 2 Alka-Pure Go-Paks per day.

Since everyone is different, listen to your body. You may experience some side effects or none. Some say their energy level increased. Some say they felt better and more focused. Some say they experienced more gas than usual, which subsided after a few days. Some say it helps with constipation. All of these are individual responses and while we have heard thousands of good things, you must be the judge.

Can I Use Water Mixed with a Go-Pak to Take My Medication or Supplements?

Alkaline water actually penetrates our cells faster and could change the absorption of medications and supplements. Take your meds or supplements with clean, highly filtered water only.

Drinking Go-Pak-mixed beverages on an empty stomach 30 minutes prior to taking medications and supplements will help buffer your stomach if you have reactions to them. In general, drink 30 minutes before and approximately 2 hours after meals and medication.

Should I Drink Water or Beverages Mixed with a Go-Pak with Meals?

Many physicians are recognizing that drinking anything with meals reduces the capacity of the body to digest well. Our stomach needs to be acidic to digest the food we eat and drinking anything – even beverages mixed with a Go-Pak (Alka-Pure® Concentrate) – with meals can slow down the digestion process. Taking a few sips during a meal is fine, but wait for your digestion to slow down (about 1-1/2 hours) before drinking more fluid.

NOTE: We want your digestion to be as healthy as possible, so we recommend drinking beverages mixed with Alka-Pure® concentrate 30 minutes before a meal and then waiting at least an hour after, to aid the digestion process.

One Exception: There is evidence that people with severe acid reflux disease may be helped by drinking alkaline water before a meal. You can experiment on your own to see what works for you. Begin with one cup before meals and a few sips during. Increase in small quantities.

It’s best to drink water with a Go-Pak (Alka-Pure® Concentrate) added upon rising, between meals and during exercise. Wait about an hour to take any medications or supplements.

Alkaline compounds (in solution) work best on an empty stomach. When you drink a large 10 to 12 oz. glass of water properly mixed with Alka-Pure Concentrate upon rising, it helps stimulate peristalsis (the process of muscle contractions and dilations which move food and wastes through your digestive tract) to help your body eliminate waste from previously eaten meals.

When is the Best Time to Drink Water with a Go-Pak Added?

Need a Late Afternoon Pick-Me-Up?
When you feel tired in the afternoon, instead of reaching for an artificial energy drink or soda, drink a bottle of water mixed with a Go-Pak to hydrate yourself and regain lost energy. Caffeinated drinks like soda and energy drinks are unnatural and actually deplete energy and minerals from your body, whereas Alka-Pure Concentrate hydrates and energizes for longer sustained periods.

Before Bedtime
It’s recommended to drink a glass (8 oz.) of water properly mixed with half a GoPak an hour before going to bed, but not with medication. This will help replenish the water lost during sleep. The added electrolyte minerals may help you relax. Having low levels of electrolytes can create night cramps.
